WHAT A REMARKABLE PLACE

2000-2006 Designed the Town Center Redevelopment Project, adopted a Land Development Code that would support Mixed Use of commercial with residential. Obtained a Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) program to fund the infrastructure for the Town Center plan. Awarded designations of a Waterfronts Florida Community under the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (formerly Department of Community Affairs) and a Florida Main Street Designation under the Florida Department of State to provide technical assistance. Vilano Beach Main Street assumed the leadership role for the development of a Vilano Beach Town Center.

NOW is the time to bring the stakeholders together for this Economic Summit Meeting.

property owners, business owners and county planners and community members interested in joining the event.
The event will include light breakfast and heavy information!
Our Vilano Beach community is made better by positive, encouraging words and actions and by volunteers and donations that enable Vilano Main Street's ongoing efforts to bring long-term permanent improvements to our community.
In this 20th year of our efforts toward long-term permanent improvements for Vilano Beach, we ask that you remember that we have been here leading the community in organized efforts which have resulted in permanent improvements including the 2008 completion of the Town Center streetscape and infrastructure (which withstood both recent hurricanes) and the January 2012 opening of Publix and surrounding retail.
Whether you are part of those collective memories or have moved to our community since those years, the result is a better quality of life for us all as we enjoy our Main Street, local grocery store/pharmacy and other services together.
The struggle to finance our Vilano Main Street efforts as we continue to work to enhance the future quality of life for us all is only possible through fundraising events, donations, grants, memberships and the dedicated work of volunteers. We hope you will find a way you can participate and join in the efforts of those who have dedicated their time, energy, talents and donations through two decades.
Our upcoming Economic Summit meeting Nov. 15 at $35 a ticket (limited seating) is the same format used successfully by the St. Johns County Chamber for years for fundraising and to promote economic development. If you are unable to attend that meeting, please attend our regularly scheduled (3rd Wednesday) free public meeting the same day at 4 p.m. in the lobby at the Hampton where we provide monthly updates and information for the community.
Vilano's future is in our hands to ensure the
best quality planning for the next 20 years!
This is a Vilano Beach Town Main Street event.
